Blue Grass
his black coat somewhat worn and faded
stole a breath in the crash
green eyes jade
and you’re escape
was in someone else’s hands
because we’re all wasting time
gasoline in my veins
a casual change
dying on pavement once again
an auburn space
shallow ground displaced
cracks are on the mend
blue grass
they were there, conscious and alive
was it meaningful?
holding in your hand no more time
and this machine
one man prey to his dreaming
because we’re all wasting time
