As soon as I heard
I started looking for you
I set my longing
loose in the world
so it could search
relentlessly until it found you
& drew us together
& it has
I heard the wind whistling
I learned the words of that song
go like barbed wire
They rip me
a new heart every time
I listen
to the dark hole of my soul
Now when I lose myself in a poem
that poem can lose itself in you
I've become a mirror that lets go
Take a good look
These words don't say something
When I have nothing to say
to listen & let a poem be
This poem was sent to see
if you're here now
You are
