Love isn't for dabblers
Who knows where my love is?
Tell me in words I can follow
Words that splinter & sparkle
with new & unforeseen meanings
Love isn't for dabblers
Only your lover can know you
It isn't called knowing for nothing
It's the seed afraid of dying
that never sprouts
Your bow is in the clouds
Your arrows are falling with the rain
Inundate my world with your presence
Since you're here
I must be nowhere again
You tell me to be
lying on the bed with eyes closed
Open my eyes
that I may see your wonders
Everywhere love poetry is being read at night
there's a light drawn out of the darkness
A light sown only for lovers
that's hidden from all except
those absorbed in what they're reading
If I can't grasp you in the day
Let me stumble into you at night
The brain thinks but the heart knows
Tear me up by the roots
& hold my tongue
Make me fluent in silence
